I cannot tell a lie - I cut down my first tree...and it wasn't a cherry. I t was a hemlock up at Michael's land in Hancock. And after we'd spent the morning cutting down trees, collecting all the brush into piles to be ready for the chipper, we leaned against it and had lunch. Since then I've been helping Bradley and the oxen, Sal and Dean, pull in logs at the Farm School to split for cordwood. Otherwise we've gotten a chance to go on some great hikes around here - we went with Jane and Wallace up Pine Cobble for my birthday and I got to climb a tree on the summit for the real view.
